OTN...

“You don't knit because you are patient. You are patient because you knit.”
Stephanie Pearl-McPhee, Things I Learned From Knitting

My very meager beginnings on a new shawl.  (I have done a bit more of it since I took this picture)!  It is called "Great Divide" (on Ravelry).  So many people said how easy it is to do. I've heard that many times (and they were wrongoooo)!  However, this time, they were right - it is easy - and I'm loving knitting it!!  I just finished this book yesterday.  The little boy in it (the Frank of the title) - will make you smile, laugh out loud, think, cry - touch your heart... or at least he did all that with me!

Your shawl looks great! I like the colors! I will have to add that book to my TBR list. I could really use a good, light-hearted read. I am getting exhausted with the "literary metaphors" and darkness in all the books that I have been reading lately.

hope it becomes easy as you knit more and more of it. I love the look of it now! I'm off to see the pattern :)
