A "Prim" Pretty....

I just finished my Stacy Nash "Ohio 1846" primitive sampler. I've been debating back and forth on whether to frame it or make it into a hanging pillow.... Well, I'm going with the pillow. And when I say "make it into one", I mean have my husband make it into one! I don't sew on a sewing machine. But somehow, he just instinctively knows how to do it - mainly the basics, but that is all you need for many things.... So now, to find the perfect fabric for the backing of the pillow. I have a maroon and cream checked one here that would do nicely, but it isn't quite what I want. So, next week, when I hit my favorite little town of Occoquan, I will search for "the one" - and hopefully, I'll find it!

Good luck with finding just the right fabric. That is such a cute design and will really make a sweet pillow. And wow, a husband that sews! Good for you. I think my husband would run in terror if I even suggested he get near mine!

It's beautiful Linda, and I think it's so neat that your husband makes your pillows! When I lived in Virginia I used to love to go to Occoquan!
