I love primitive things. If I could, I'd have my whole house decorated that way. I especially gravitate towards primitive designs when I'm cross-stitching. Here are some I did many years ago. The one on the left with the alphabet surrounding the cabin was done in February of 1995. The smaller one in the middle was finished in July of 1994. This was my first foray into coffee dyeing linen. It turned out fairly well. I also stitched this design for my Mom, but I made hers more modern looking with the fabric and the frame I chose. The design on the right was done in 1995 also. I always call it "Lacey's sampler". She was my beloved cat. My husband and I would at times call her Lucy or Lucy Goosey. She died a few years ago. We still miss her....

Linda, I love your primitive beginnings. You do a very nice job with your cross stitching. Your cat is also beautiful. We recently lost one of cats. I met you on the new Stacy Nash group.

Linda, your cross stitch samplers are beautiful. I love them all, It's SO PRIMITIVE!!!
Linda, I love these three. I especially like the key you attached to the one in the center. Neat idea!

I love that you made a sampler that was the name of your cat. I did a quilt called Jesse's Hearts when Jesse died. I even quilted her little paw prints on it.
I started my Ohio samplers so stop by and have a look at the start of the first one.
Hugs ~
